C’mon Russ…so many times thinking doesn’t enter into it. Mental disorder…maybe tired of trying to make it in the real world…you do something like this and let the State take care of you fro a few years. Hard to tell what goes through what is left of people’s minds any more. Too many drugs, too little personal responsibility, too much frustration perhaps.
Fully agree. Most of these criminals can’t get through the day without some boost from drugs or other risky behavior. The real tragedy lies in just how unprepared socially, spiritually, financially, and educationally some of these people are. Our schools are “graduating” functional illiterates who are ill-equipped to survive in the “real world.” Perhaps, these people know intuitively that they “can’t cut it” and resort to this type of behavior to get their basic survival needs meet, courtesy of the state and our tax dollars. One of these days, the “gravy train” will make its final stop and these people will be on their own. Meanwhile, the working man or woman will pay the tab for these social misfits. Aloha, Russ.
