State hospitals to seek $14M in emergency funds
Hawaii News Now
With its privatization plans on hold, the Hawaii Health Systems Corp. says it needs $14 million in emergency funding from the state.
The Hilo Medical Center is part of this ailing system. Some private hospitals are also on thin financial ice. The North Hawaii Community Hospital most likely will partner with the Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu to solve its financial problems.
