Bad news for potential home buyers. Nowadays, owning a home is an adventure in frustration. No wonder that I see more people from Oahu and the U.S. mainland coming to Hawaii Island to find a home. Although our homes in Hawaii County are expensive, they are still less costly than comparable housing on Oahu. Affordable housing is becoming a myth. Such is the price of paradise.
