The Senate Veterans Affairs Committee approved three amendments proposed by Sen. Mazie. Hirono aimed at making it easier for Native Hawaiian veterans get help.
About time. It’s always convenient to sweep veterans under the legislative rug. Perhaps the problem would lessen if our country didn’t get involved in so many conflicts overseas. But until such time as we opt for another approach to dealing with nations, we should take care of the casulties resulting from those wars, including our disabled and homeless veterans. Aloha, Russ.
