    I wonder how much one of those ferrys would go for…I could probably have enough space to house my family and a few more, live off the coast….use my smaller boat to go get groceries….no property tax…just a little fuel from time to time…hmmmmm…..

      Your idea makes too much sense…we can’t have rationality enter the world of politics. Politics–that’s the reason the super ferry died. The big transportation monopolies (Young Brothers, Matson, Hawaiian Air, etc.) couldn’t stand an upstart that would force them to be efficient and more public service oriented. Russ
