AAA: Gas prices heading up in Hawaii

Hawaii gas prices reversed course and increased in the surveyed areas of the state compared to last week, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
Same old song and dance. Prices go down a bit and then go up a bit more. The days of cheap gas are over. The only bright spot in this scenario is that fuel is still available, unlike the rationing days of 1973. So, be thankful that you can still by fuel at your convenience. There is no cost-effective substitute for gasoline at present. New technologies are being introduced, but they will take time to beat the convenience, portability, and cost of petroleum-based fuels.
