Hawaii releases first statewide assessment of community health needs – Pacific Business News

The Hawaii Department of Health announced Wednesday the release of the state’s first statewide Community Health Needs Assessment.

Russell Roberts‘s insight:

A lot of work must be done to upgrade health care in the state.  All this will have to be done in a growing budget crunch.  Federal support will be reduced thanks to sequestration and the inability of Congress to reach agreement on how to contain federal spending.  While Congress dithers, various health programs around the country will suffer.  Something to think about come election time.  Aloha, Russ.
