HONOLULU (AP) — Hawaii’s agriculture industry is set to establish a strong position in world markets with new legislation to help farmers, Gov.

It’s about time the state addressed our food dependancy. The new laws are a step forward in making Hawaii more food sustainable. It’s kind of ironic that Hawaiians in pre-contact days could feed a population estimated to be over 300,000, while our modern state, with all its technology, can’t end our addiction to foreign goods, oil, and even food.
