2013 Kids Count: Gains, losses for Hawaii youth
Hawaii 24/7 (press release)
According to data presented in the 2013 Kids Count Data Book, released today by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Hawaii ranks 25th out of 50 states in overall child well-being.
Although the state made gains in educating children, the combination of more single parents, an increase in the state’s poverty rate, and problems with child welfare dropped Hawaii to the middle rank of states in this report. Aloha, Russ.
