Making Waves: Kelii Akina and The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii – Honolulu Civil Beat

Many Native Hawaiians oppose "The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii’ because they feel the conservative organization ignores their choice of being "Hawaiian Nationals" outside the framework of the United States.  For his part, Akina supports a free market economy, limited and accountable government, and the Bill of Rights. Akina also opposes the Jones Act which he feels "increases prices in Hawaii by as much as 30 percent."  Aloha, Russ.
