Jackson Bauer, of the Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project, will present “The Palila’s Future: Restoring a Mamane Forest on Mauna Kea” at 7 p.m.

Jackson Bauer has an extensive video and film making background and has done documentaries focusing on Kahoolawe and other remote Hawaiian Islands.  Bauer’s presentation will be held Friday, 7 p.m., Imiloa Astronomy Center near UH-Hilo.  For details, call 969-9700.
