Despite the state’s high cost of living and regressive tax policies, entrepreneurs are showing a lot of initiative and creativity in starting their own businesses. I was surprised to learn that Hawaii is one of the top states for small, independent businesses. May all of you "live long and prosper" (with all due apologies to Mr. Spock of "Star Trek").
