Hawaii law strips some power from university head
San Francisco Chronicle
HONOLULU (AP) — A new Hawaii law removes the state university president’s power to serve as the chief procurement officer for construction contracts.
How about revamping the entire UH administrative structure? Considering all the recent financial scandals at the Manoa Campus, one wonders if anyone in authority really knew what was going on. University officials are paid enough to keep the school efficient, financially responsible, and sensitive to student and community needs. I don’t like my tax dollars misused. Aloha, Russ.
