Hawaii Mars food mission wins $1.2M NASA funding
San Francisco Chronicle
HONOLULU (AP) — NASA is giving more money to a Hawaii project studying what foods astronauts might eat during a manned mission to Mars.

Russell Roberts‘s insight:

The University of Hawaii at Manoa is coordinating three more missions at the 8,000-foot level of Mauna Loa on Hawaii Island.  These missions will last 4 months, 8 months, and 1 year.  Apparently, science fiction is becoming science fact.  Aloha, Russ.
