Gov releases $21.8M for Hawaii airports, highways

HONOLULU (AP) – Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie is releasing more than $21.8 million for capital improvement projects for airports and highways statewide.
While most of the $21.8 million package will help upgrade Honolulu’s International Airport, some funds will be earmarked for bridge repairs and the repaving of Maui’s Kahalui Airport. Governor Abercrombie deemed the funds "essential to island commerce, business, and tourism."
