Commander says the Army is back in the Pacific
FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii — The U.S.
The decision to return brigades of the 25th Infantry Division to their Hawaii home follows the President’s desire to withdraw forces from Iraq and Afghanistan and to station them in the Pacific area of operations. The U.S. is slowly beginning to add more forces in the Pacific, which faces new challenges from North Korea, the People’s Republic of China, and even Vietnam. Once the U.S. pulls out it forces from the Middle East, watch a bad situation deteriorate even further. This is not a good time to visit the Pyramids or the crusader castles in Syria and Lebanon. Aloha, Russ.
