Governor and Mayor announce $18m plan for Natatorium – Hawaii News Now …
Hawaii News Now
The Natatorium in Waikiki was built in 1927 as a tribute to those who served in World War I. Then it closed in 1979.
This historic site, built to honor those who served in World War I, will soon be torn down. If my memory serves me correctly, the great Duke Kahanamoku trained at the Waikiki Natatorium for the 1912 Olympic Games. Time and progress march on. Aloha, Russ.
