West Hawaii skies are filling with smoke and hze from two brush fires burning in remote areas above Honomolino and the Kealakekua Ranch Center.  Fiore officials tell “West Hawaii Today” that natural causes most likely sparked the fires.  Fire Chief Darryl Olieveira says another fire at the Yee Hop Ranch is contained while the fire about 7 miles above the Kealakekua Ranch Center is moving slowly and creating a lot of smoke.  The Honomolino fire is still burning, but it presents no threat to lives or property.  Chief Oliveira says it’s safet and more economical to let the fires burn out.  All roads in the area are open.
