Hawaii County Police investigating the death of 5-year old Javieanne Win want to question a pedestrian and the occupants of a vehicle seen in surveillance video taken September 6th–the day the girl was killed. According to the “Honolulu Advertiser”, the video shows the girl and suspect Anthony Poulin walking near a building on the Hamakua side of Shipman Street. Detectives saw a small sport utility vehicle turning right from Shipman Street on Kamehameha Avenue. Police also noticed a man on the sidewalk moving towards Waianuenue Avenue. Anyone with leads should call police.
A man who was killed September 6th on the Big Island in an accident involving a breakaway trailer carrying three outrigger canoes has been identified as 49-year old Michael Davidson of California. According to the “Honolulu Advertiser”, the trailer was being pulled by a 1999 Dodge truck heading north on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway when the trailer became dislodged, separated from the truck, and crashed through the windshield of the SUV, striking the driver. Police have not determined whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.
